The Council for Social Development, New Delhi, invites application for the following faculty positions:
A) Associate Professor : 2 Positions (UGC pay scales and allowances, as modified by the
relevant decisions of the Council).
Essential qualifications:
(i) Good academic record, with a minimum of 55% of marks in Master’s Degree or
an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale.
(ii) Ph.D in any of the Social Sciences as recognized by UGC.
(iii) A minimum of five publications consisting of books published by standard
publishers and research/policy papers in peer reviewed journals.
(iv) A minimum of eight years of research/teaching experience as Assistant Professor
in a university or a reputed research institution outside university.
B) Assistant Professor : 2 Positions (UGC pay scales and allowances, as modified by the
relevant decisions of the Council).
Essential qualifications:
(i) Good academic record, with a minimum of 55% of marks in Master’s Degree or an equivalent
grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale.
(ii) Ph.D in any of the Social Sciences as recognized by UGC.
(iii)A minimum of three years of research/teaching experience in a university or a national
level research institute, excluding the period spent for pursuing M.Phil / Ph.D.
