Jaya Lekshmi Nair is a Senior Research Associate at Council for Social Development with over 20 years of experience in social science research. She has worked in wide range of research projects in the area of agriculture, rural development, gender issues and education across rural and urban areas in various states of India sponsored by national and international organizations. Her core responsibilities include literature review, primary and secondary data collection and collation, project coordination, field survey implementation, and organizing research dissemination events. She has co-authored few research papers. She is also actively involved in organizing seminars, national workshops, and training courses on research methodology with senior faculty members.
Currently she is engaged as a team member in the projects, Knowledge Management Grants under the Seventh Operational Phase of the GEF Small Grants Programme in India and Equitable Education for a Viksit Bharat: Exploring School Dropout and Exclusion of Vulnerable Sections for Policy Suggestions
Jaya holds a Master’s degree in Physics with a specialization in Electronics from the University of Kerala.
