R. Govinda | DISTINGUISHED PROFESSOR - Council for Social Development

Govinda is a Distinguished Professor at the Council for Social Development, New Delhi and formerly, the Vice Chancellor, National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi. He was the J.P. Naik National Fellow for Studies in Education and Culture, Indian Council for Social Science Research. He has been a Visiting Professor at Institute of Education, University of London and International Institute for Educational Planning, Paris. His current areas of interest include primary education, decentralised management, leadership development, policy analysis, human rights and democracy. His recent publications include, Routledge Companion to Primary Education in India: From Compulsion to Fundamental Right, Routledge, London, 2024.
