Vacancy – Managing Editor and Communication Advisor

The Council for Social Development, New Delhi, invites application for the following position:

Managing Editor and Communication Advisor: 1 Position (On Consultancy Basis as per the norms of the Council)

  • Good Academic record, with Post Graduation in Social Sciences with good command over English language and exceptional communication skills
  • Published work of high quality in Media.
  • A minimum of fifteen years of editorial experience, part of which should be in the Media.

The work responsibilities of Managing Editor at CSD will include

  1. Coordinating with the Editor, authors, reviewers, copy editors and publishers of Social Change journal and preparing publication plan in consultation with the Editor. Editing (if necessary)/proof reading of papers for Social Change Journal and India Social Development Report.
  2. Editing of Research Reports, Seminar proceedings and papers, Annual Reports, Newsletters, etc. of CSD.
  3. Writing up and publicizing outcomes of CSD’s projects and other activities, culling out the key findings/ recommendations of research projects and seminars and their circulation among all concerned.
  4. Developing new templates and updating the Website of the Council.
  5. Provide need based support to faculty members in writing OP-ED articles etc.
  6. To build relations with potential reporters and editors working on Social Development in India and to organize gathering of media on CSD’s major Seminars, Lectures, Book Releases and other events and to ensure coverage of the same.

The last date for submission of application is March 31st, 2022.
