Internship

CSD accepts qualified students, preferably from social science background, from colleges and universities all across the country to work in the Council. CSD does not announce any special internship programme, since they are need-based, time-based and duration-specific. Typically the duration is of 6-8 weeks after which a review of the intern shall be conducted by the project staff. On finding the intern suitable and depending on her/his availability, the term could be extended.

Prospective interns could choose to work under two types of assignments – office based and field based.  Office based research would include documentation, reviewing secondary literature; networking, etc and field based work would include collecting empirical data from the field.

The candidate would be working collectively with a team under the guidance of the project director/ supervisor. On successful completion of the internship tenure, s/he is awarded with a merit certificate. This is a useful platform for growth, learning and the opportunity to work in professional teams.

Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae along with an application, mentioning the expected start and end dates of internship, the area of concern (social issue) in which they wish to work and the reason for applying to CSD. Also a forwarding letter from one of your professors is needed to support your application. Past work experience would be added advantage. Applications could be sent by either e-mail csdnd@del2.vsnl.net.in or at CSD’s postal address.

Presently we are not taking any candidate for Internship.  Kindly look for forthcoming announcements.
